Former
Arsenal outcast Nicklas Bendtner was given a shock start by manager Arsene
Wenger for Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Hull City.The news of the move to start the Denmark
international was not initially received well by fans (to say the least);
however, something strange happened soon after the opening whistle.Bendtner scored within two minutes of the
match starting.The Dane, who was
supplied by a superb cross from defender Carl Jenkinson, scored a header from
close range to put the Gunners up 1-0.
Arsenal cruised to a 2-0 victory over newly promoted side Hull City yesterday, with an early strike from Nicklas Bendtner and a brace from the wizard, Mesut Özil. The match was dominated early on by the Gunners, who did not even let their opponents touch the ball at certain points of the match. This newly found chemistry in the squad makes it more believable each and every day that the Gunners will be able to end their trophy drought of 8 years.
