Arsenal’s 2014/2015 Preseason

After many frustrating seasons to date, Arsenal fans can finally see the change they’ve been asking about time and time again. I personally believe the FA Cup win at the end of last season has been the reason for the change in operation and has re-lit the fire that once burned deep within Arsène Wenger. As we’ve all seen, Arsenal has once again become a premier destination for World Class talent with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy arriving this summer.

Arsenal Midfielder Agrees New Contract Extension (Written by @ChrisMoore32)

Following Arsenal’s emphatic 4-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised midfielder Tomáš Rosicky.  The French manager also told reporters that Rosicky will be staying with the team behind the current season.  Wenger stated, “Tomáš Rosicky will stay.  We have an agreement with him and it will come out soon.  I am absolutely adamant he has to stay at the club."

Let's Stand up for The Arsenal

Does it really matter that we drew to Southampton? Does it really matter that we dropped points on Tuesday? Does it really matter that we are now second in the EPL? No it does not since after all we are The Arsenal, one of the greatest clubs to ever set foot on a football pitch.

I was thinking about the current status of the club a few days ago and I came to a revelation. We are finally on our way to overcoming the adversity that has surrounded us for the past 8 seasons. It’s quite amazing actually; the fact that we are now considered a threat in the world of football again. Seeing as we were once the joke of the English Premier League and the Champions League, and now we have the chance to finally break the dreaded trophy-less curse.

Wenger Accepts his Team’s Underdog Role (Written by @ChrisMoore32)

Earlier Friday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger made it known, quite frankly what most fans already assumed, that his team cannot match fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea in funds.  The Frenchman told Arsenal.com, “In terms of their resources no (we can’t compete) because they have unlimited resources, but with our resources available, we are ready to fight.”

What will we do without Walcott?

Now I know I’m a bit late on this, but I thought it would be appropriate to express my views on the Theo Walcott injury situation after contemplating my thoughts for a few days. As you all know, Theo Walcott was diagnosed with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, an injury he sustained while playing against the Tottenham Hotspur in a 3rd round FA cup match. The match ended with a score of 2-0 in the Gunners favour, although the loss of Walcott for the remainder of the season certainly meant the enjoyment of victory was not felt for long. The young Englishman is expected to be out for around 6 months while his knee heals, leaving manager Arsène Wenger with a difficult situation.

My Top 5 Arsenal Targets

With the transfer window having been open for 3 days now, there has been much speculation as to who the Gunners may decide to pursue in order to bolster the options for the squad. Many think that the club are in need of a striker, some say defenders, some people are even saying the club need more midfielders. From my eyes, I believe that the club should mainly focus on attacking players, just to have a variety of options with the attacking man up front. There are 5 transfers in particular that I would love to see happen, even if they are unrealistic.

What we can take away from the Chelsea Match

Yesterday’s Monday Night Football match ended in a goalless draw, far from the expectations of many spectators. Both sides played particularly well and in lieu of the circumstances, we can see that both squads played with their guns a blazing. The result of the match would ultimately decide who would be atop of the Premier League table going into Christmas and although the Gunners did not prevail with a victory, supporters should not be too disappointed and here’s why:

Why Chelsea at Home is a MUST win

The upcoming fixture against Chelsea this Monday may prove to be the most important of this year’s Premier League campaign. After drawing at home against Everton and losing away to Man City, the squad will need to pull together to avoid dropping points for the third game in a row. A loss at home would mean Arsenal would be fourth in the table, dropping from first place. The result of the game, in my opinion, can be enough to determine if the Gunners can prevail to win the Premier League for the first time in 10 years.

Can the Gunners Triumph over the Defending European Champions?

Earlier Monday morning, Arsenal was drawn against defending European Champions Bayern Munich for their first match of the knockout stages. This is the second time in a row that Arsenal have been drawn against the European Champions, having been eliminated by them due to away goals after an aggregate score of 3-3. Now a full year has passed, and the question remains; Do the Gunners have what it takes to knockout the defending European champions and advance to the next round?

5 Reasons why Arsenal can end their Infamous Trophy Drought this Season

Arsenal have been off to an amazing start this season, and are currently top of the Premier League table over rivals Chelsea. There are many theories behind the club’s new found form, and ability to dominate matches, however I have a few of my own that may help everyone understand why this may be the year to end the club’s infamous trophy drought.
