Wenger Accepts his Team’s Underdog Role (Written by @ChrisMoore32)

Earlier Friday, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger made it known, quite frankly what most fans already assumed, that his team cannot match fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea in funds.  The Frenchman told Arsenal.com, “In terms of their resources no (we can’t compete) because they have unlimited resources, but with our resources available, we are ready to fight.”

What will we do without Walcott?

Now I know I’m a bit late on this, but I thought it would be appropriate to express my views on the Theo Walcott injury situation after contemplating my thoughts for a few days. As you all know, Theo Walcott was diagnosed with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, an injury he sustained while playing against the Tottenham Hotspur in a 3^rd round FA cup match. The match ended with a score of 2-0 in the Gunners favour, although the loss of Walcott for the remainder of the season certainly meant the enjoyment of victory was not felt for long. The young Englishman is expected to be out for around 6 months while his knee heals, leaving manager Arsène Wenger with a difficult situation.

Deadly December

The month of December could perhaps the defining moment in Arsenal’s current pursuit of silverware for the first time in 8 years. Hull City, Everton, Napoli, Man City, Chelsea, West Ham and Newcastle each provide their own set of difficulties and challenges to be faced by the league leaders. For many seasons, the club’s form after Christmas has been impeccable, it is the slow starts to seasons that usually lead to downfall.
